CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize accurate full-cycle accounting processes by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia;
• Ensure complete recording of incoming and outgoing cash, material values, and fixed assets, as well as timely reflection of their movements in accounting;
• Prepare financial and tax reports for management and state institutions in a timely and accurate manner;
• Prepare annual reports, collaborate with sworn auditors, and organize work within the team;
• Improve financial accounting control mechanisms;
• Provide support to the head of the accounting department and collaborate with colleagues;
• Provide consultations to management and employees on tax and accounting issues within the scope of the position’s competence.

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 5 years of successful work experience as a chief accountant;
• Experience in manufacturing accounting will be considered an advantage;
• In-depth knowledge of VAT and international transactions;
• Knowledge of excise tax will be considered an advantage;
• Higher education in accounting, economics, or finance;
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office), experience with MS Dynamics Ax preferred;
• Excellent command of Latvian and good command of English for working with documents and informational materials;
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to acquire new information;
• Knowledge of applicable laws and successful experience in their application in daily work.
