The nomination committee for the board member position at the state-owned company \u201cRiga International Airport\u201d (VAS \u201cRiga International Airport\u201d) has decided to recommend two candidates to the Ministry of Transport, one of whom will be appointed to the position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the third round of the competition, three candidates vied for the position. During this phase, the committee assessed the candidates’ leadership competencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After evaluating the candidates across all three rounds, the nomination committee decided to recommend two candidates for the vacant position on the board of VAS \u201cRiga International Airport\u201d with expertise in financial matters, auditing, strategy development and implementation, and the operational domain of the airport. The candidates were prioritized based on their total score, and the Ministry of Transport will make the final decision on who will be appointed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The nomination committee was chaired by Dzintra Gas\u016bne, head of the Corporate Management Department at the State Chancellery\u2019s Cross-Sectoral Coordination Department. The committee included Inguna Strautmane, Director of the State Capital Management Department at the Ministry of Transport; Art\u016brs Kokars, Director of the Aviation Department at the Ministry of Transport; J\u0101nis Gredzens, Work Environment Coordinator at the Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility Institute; Zigm\u0101rs Vestf\u0101ls, Board Member of the Latvian Aviation Association; Gita O\u0161k\u0101ja, Deputy Chair of the Latvian Free Trade Unions Association; and Kaspars Gork\u0161s, Director General of the Latvian Employers\u2019 Confederation. Fontes Executive Search, a personnel selection firm, was involved in the evaluation and selection of the candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The nomination process was managed by the State Chancellery in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, following the State Chancellery\u2019s assumption of the Cross-Sectoral Coordination Centre\u2019s functions from March 1, 2023, including managing the nomination process for state-owned companies\u2019 board member selections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
